Landrover Defender

I've always wanted to get one and have been looking at various ex MOD and private one's. Plus lightweight versions but these are generally petrol and i wanted a diesel. Anything i should look out for when getting one of these? Typical wear & tear etc?

Any help appreciated.

Cheers Lee. If i join this group though, i won't have to rub black oil in my whiskers and smell of diesel will i?  Laughing

no, you will have to just get the beers in for everyone

It would probably be cheaper to buy a new Landrover knowing you lot  Laughing

Well i'm now the proud owner of an ex-military series III Landrover 109.
Nicknamed "Desert Storm"
Served in the Gulf war among other things.

It is a desert coloured one though. So a bit different.
Been looking at the EMLRA forum. Might need help with the stickers.
It has the original gun rack in it too.
Would be nice to fit some mock guns inside if allowed.
It also has the infrared set up on it. For running undetected in the dark.
