I cannt believe that! although to be fair, for some reason the gazette has never been our biggest supporter even though a member of our very own comittee writes for them!!!
that heap of s*** article really doesnt demonstrate how hard everyone works to keep us open every year, let alone how much money it costs! AND that cheeky little comment about us opening on a limites basis!because everyone works! and we give up our spare time!!!
Grrrrrrrr!!!

The 'Lakes' person does indeed come across as a bit of a numpty.

As a rule of thumb if I don't know the ins and outs of any given situation then I wont presume to comment on it.  He would be wise to follow similar guidelines.

He must think Most Haunted gave a sum of millions to film there, does he think the millions Sky Sports gives to football is like a standard?  If so, they could film it in my back garden...

heya

i just read the last "lakes" comment, and figured out who it is

His name is SHANE RALPH and he works for thurrovk paranormal, he takes it upon himself to go all over the web discrediting everything we do, and posts messages of spite on other groups websites, trying to get them not to book with us

Shane if you are reading this, ITS NOT WORKING!

If you go to thurrock paranormal website, and click on the left hand link that says, other sites or other locations, scroll down to the bottom you will find his write  up of the fort.

He bases his opinion on playing there with his friends as a child, and one supposed investigation he did. I hate to say it but i have been here for eight years and the only time ive ever heard of their group was when i found what they were saying on the web. Just have a read of what he says about us if you are interested.

Lots of love from sunny devon

I have always been interested in the paranormal ever since I was in infants school, I was in a classroom at lunch time on my own, I was sitting at my desk and could see my shadow being cast on the wall next to me, I started to feel strange and look at my shadow and could see a shadow of a man leaning over me (I then ran out of the classroom)
I have also had a strange experience at Coalhouse fort when I was older that I can not explain.
I try to take a more logical and scientific approach into paranormal investigating.
I set up Thurrock Paranormal I hope to try to find answers to some of my own Questions.

Hmmm. Assuming he is Lakes then i'm not to bothered. I've read his other posts on other topics and they are in much the same vein. Very negative and very childish. He makes no worthwhile valid arguements.
Although my reply to him was deleted and my access to "Have your say" removed, i was not rude to him in any way. I just asked how he knew what he did. Obviously someone at the Thurruck Gazette thought i was being rude?
Looking back though i do not think it is worth replying to him now. He makes himself discredible from his ill thought out remarks.
