This is where it can be found.. the way to get in to there is there used to be a church in east tilbury village.. now it has been torn down there is bron fencing on the outside (there is a swastika spraypainted onto the fence - (vandal idiots) )

you walk to the right of the church fencing and there is a grey fenced coloured park.. now walk to the left of that and avoid the barb wire at ankle level.. now you mus keep walking toward the trees, away from the houses..

Now this is a tricky part, you have to make it down the hill without getting all muddy, i usually hang on to the trees and go down that way..

im not quite sure entirely

There are 3 gun implacements in all

2 small and one massive one

as you enter the place, you should be now facing the sea wall . if you go left, you will come accross a housing area sort of thing ( i guess the officers lived here seeing as there are fireplaces) it has about 9 rooms if i remmeber rightly or 6 im not entirely sure, i will draw a map out next time i go there..

If you turned left instead of right you will come accross a slate latrine area, and some over buildings that i didnt understand were for what?

are there any plans to preserve or restore the east tilbury battery?, it is in far better condition than coalhouse fort was when it was rescued, in the tunnels the original signs are clearly visible on the walls and the shell/cartridge lifts are stll in place and in very good condition considering there age.
