As delivery of the new vehicle looms closer (fear not - it's far too wide for the Fort gates!!)) other things have also started to click into place.
First of these is the arrival from the USSR of two of the leather crew helmets. The photo below shows one being modelled by the daughter mk 1.



Unfortunately the plugs to connect to the intercom system seem to have been cut off so I need to lay hands on some of those now...

but we're gettting there slowly - Monday 1st October is time up for the transit paperworks the Germans wanted so sometime next week I should get an arrival date in the UK for the OT-90 itself.. Very Happy

Well - the vehicle is now in the country - just got to get her taxed and rregistered now...

Coalhouse Fort, East Tilbury, is run by volunteers and is always looking for new members to come along and help out. If you have a manual skill ie carpentry, painting or electrical etc or if you are just interested in historic buildings then drop us a line. Membership is £10 per year and will allow free entry to all open days. Wednesdays are work party day and you would be welcome to come along and help behind the scenes to help preserve Coalhouse Fort.
